This small series for L.L.Bean was an idea that I had proposed in June of 2022. Knowing that video has been prioritized on Instagram, outdoor ASMR felt like an easy and achievable way for us to create content in house. It would also allow our followers to really experience outdoor activities virtually because it becomes easier to imagine yourself doing an activity if you can hear it.
The first video that I planned, filmed, edited and posted was a camping ASMR video. I focused on really iconic camping sounds, like the clanging of tent poles, the snap of tent clips, the crackle of a fire, etc.
The second video, again that was planned, filmed, and edited by me, focused on hiking sounds. During this time we were pushing our Mountain Classic collection, which was hiking focused, so it felt like a good time to highlight it. I featured the sounds of lacing up hiking boots, clipping a hiking pack buckle, boots crunching on a trail, and more.
